IET
The IET
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is the largest multidisciplinary professional engineering institution in the world.
The IET was formed in 2006 from two amalgamation of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) both with heritage dating back to the 19th Century.
Locations
The worldwide membership is in excess of 150,000. The main offices are in Savoy Place, London, and Michael Faraday House, Stevenage as well as offices worldwide.
Professional Registration
The IET has the authority to establish professional registration for Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, Engineering Technician and an ICT Technician. These are all recognised as a Licensed Member institution of the Engineering Council.
